01Alpine Star Meadow opened in the spring of 2019 as a deliberately small shapewear and lingerie edit. Too much shapewear is still sold on packaging promises: it gets bought, returned a week later, and the customer is left convinced the problem was her body rather than the garment. We wanted a shop where fit is explained before you buy, not discovered after.

02The first version of Alpine Star Meadow was an online-only edit of twelve pieces, sourced from three manufacturers whose samples we wear-tested over the course of a year. Each one went through a full workday, a long evening, and a flight before it made the cut. The selection grew slowly. By late 2021 the collection had expanded to around forty pieces, and we had started writing detailed fit notes for each size band, something we had rarely seen done properly anywhere else. Those notes became the most-read pages on the site.
